Mildred Wallace, aged 65, was found shot to death in her home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on June 21, 1982. Her death was part of a series of murders that plagued the area during that period. The investigation into her death revealed that she was one of the victims of Timothy Wayne Krajcir, a convicted serial killer who confessed to killing nine women, including five in Missouri.
