On the evening of April 5, 2019, a tragic sequence of events unfolded at a residence in the 1900 block of Perryville Road in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Police were dispatched to the home after receiving a call from a man who claimed to have shot his wife. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the body of 64-year-old Katheia Corrigan inside the house she shared with her husband.
