Police Officer Robert J. Stanze II, aged 29, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2000, in St. Louis, Missouri. Officer Stanze was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect who was wanted in connection with the shooting of another officer. The incident occurred at the intersection of Marcus Avenue and St. Louis Avenue.
