In a tragic turn of events stemming from a drug deal gone wrong, 31-year-old James Porter was shot and killed on January 18, 2011, in Columbia, Missouri. The fatal incident unfolded at the Sunset Mobile Home Park, where Porter and his cousin, Robert McPike, had arranged a transaction to exchange 30 pounds of marijuana for $20,000.
