In the spring of 2024, the life of 18-year-old Derek Silvey was tragically cut short in a burst of violence that echoed through a quiet residential neighborhood in northeast Columbia, Missouri. On the evening of April 11th, multiple gunshots rang out on Premier Court, a residential area east of Highway 63 near Brown Station Road. When the sounds of the gunfire subsided, Derek Silvey was found, having been shot multiple times.
Despite the immediate response from emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
