Deputy Sheriff Christopher Richard Parsons, aged 31, tragically lost his life on December 15, 2012, in Mineral Point, Missouri. Deputy Parsons was responding to a 911 call on Nugget Road at approximately 2:10 a.m. The call was regarding an unconscious woman, and an ambulance had also been dispatched to the scene. As the woman was being loaded into the ambulance, her son emerged from the mobile home and fired a single shot with a shotgun, fatally wounding Deputy Parsons.
