On a chilly Monday in early March 2015, violence erupted in a residential neighborhood of south-central Kansas City, Missouri. Police were called to the 6800 block of Walrond Avenue after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered twenty-five-year-old Anthony B. Marks outside a home, suffering from gunshot wounds.
