On September 8, 2015, a 22-year-old Black male named Devion Falls from East St. Louis, Illinois, was killed in the West End neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred in the early afternoon when Falls traveled across the river with a group of associates, including his brother Darereon Falls, Kenneth Berry, and Alexis Wilson.
