Davyon Coates, a 19-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on August 18, 2016. Coates was found dead in a parking lot after a shooting incident that also left two other adults and a child wounded. The circumstances surrounding his death were part of a violent drug deal that took place near Gregory and Prospect in Kansas City. During this altercation, Coates was caught in the crossfire and was declared deceased at the scene when officers arrived.
