Damani “Rookie” Aitch, a 17-year-old Black male, was killed in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 5, 2016, after a burst of gunfire turned a late-night drive along Riverview Boulevard into a sudden tragedy.
According to reporting that cited a police report, a car carrying three teens was traveling north on Riverview when another vehicle came up from behind and opened fire. Shots struck the car, and Aitch was fatally wounded.
A second teen, described as a 16-year-old boy, was hit in the hand and also suffered lacerations to his face; he was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
