Gary Michael, a 37-year-old police officer from Clinton, Missouri, tragically lost his life on August 6, 2017. Officer Michael was conducting a routine traffic stop when he pulled over a vehicle driven by Ian McCarthy for a minor traffic violation. As Officer Michael approached the vehicle, McCarthy exited and shot him in the heart with a high-power rifle, resulting in Officer Michael's immediate death.
