Phillip Crews, a 62-year-old Marine Corps veteran from Saint Louis, Missouri, tragically ended his life on March 26, 2018. Crews had been a frequent visitor to the John Cochran VA Hospital due to severe, undiagnosed stomach pains. His condition led to an addiction to opioid painkillers prescribed by VA doctors.
