On March 30, 2018, a violent domestic dispute in the small community of Allenville, near Chaffee, Missouri, resulted in a fatal shooting that tore a family apart. The incident centered on an altercation between a White male, 42-year-old Jason Holweg, and his father, Raymond Holweg, at the elder Holweg's residence. Tensions rose rapidly during the late afternoon as the two men argued, with reports indicating the dispute escalated when the son threatened to damage his father’s mobile home.
The verbal confrontation turned deadly when the 66-year-old father retrieved a shotgun from his bedroom to confront his son.
According to the investigation by the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office, the situation culminated when Raymond Holweg discharged the weapon, striking his son in the back from a distance of approximately five feet.
