On September 18, 2018, at approximately 2:38 A.M., Springfield police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting near the intersection of Cherry Street and Dysart Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Ryan Boulanger with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. According to reports, Boulanger was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his girlfriend when the shooting occurred.
