Curtis Payne, a 31-year-old resident of Springfield, Missouri, was tragically killed on February 11, 2014. The incident occurred when three teenagers, Jeremiah Devaliti, Kaleb Moore, and Tyler Keithley, broke into Payne's home on Dollison Avenue. The motive behind the break-in was reportedly to confront Payne after Kearstain Sleeth, a friend of the teenagers, claimed that Payne had sexually assaulted her.
