On April 8, 2024, 36-year-old Raven Martin was fatally shot in South Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred near the intersection of Crump Boulevard and Mississippi Boulevard while Martin was driving with a male passenger and her two-year-old son. The vehicle came under fire, resulting in the immediate death of the male passenger, identified as 27-year-old Antavius Gardner. Martin sustained critical injuries and was transported to Regional One Health, where she later succumbed to her wounds.
