On the morning of Sunday, November 25, 2018, a 20-year-old male named Samuel George lost his life in a violent incident in St. Louis County, Missouri. The events unfolded in the early hours, approximately around 12:10 a.m., in the North St. Louis County area near Florissant. Samuel George was reportedly walking along the sidewalk in the 200 block of Northport Hills Drive, which was located behind a local shopping plaza and in the same neighborhood where he resided.
As he made his way
down the street, he was targeted by an unknown assailant or assailants who opened fire in his direction. First responders from the St. Louis County Police Department arrived at the scene to discover George suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was urgently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
At the time of the incident, law enforcement officials stated that the investigation was active and ongoing. Despite the public nature of the shooting, detectives initially had no information regarding the identity of the shooter or shooters. No immediate arrests were made following the event, and police urged anyone with information about the deadly encounter to contact the St. Louis County Police Department or CrimeStoppers to assist in identifying those responsible.
