Michael E. Lopez, a 36-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, tragically lost his life on February 20, 2019. The incident occurred late at night, just before 11:45 p.m., when police were dispatched to the 2500 block of South Sterling Avenue following reports of an aggravated assault and shooting.
