In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Independence, Missouri, the life of 26-year-old Bobby L. Mullins II was brought to a violent and abrupt end. On November 12, 2014, at approximately 10 p.m., Mullins was fatally shot in the head in the parking lot of a Shell gas station located near 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Cutoff. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and a family to grapple with a sudden and senseless loss.
