In the summer of 2019, the life of 22-year-old Abdul Nurmatov was tragically cut short. On the evening of Friday, June 14th, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 4500 block of South Broadway in the southern part of the city. There, they discovered a grim scene. Nurmatov had been shot multiple times. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
