On a summer evening in Saint Louis, Missouri, the life of 24-year-old Deshawn McGee was cut short in a burst of violence that also claimed the lives of two others. On August 7, 2019, McGee, along with Justin Kibble, 20, and Maurice L. East Jr., 29, were fatally shot in an attack that sent their vehicle crashing into a concrete pillar. The incident unfolded on West Florissant Avenue, where the men were traveling in a GMC Yukon.
