On August 7, 2016, Cory Goodwin, a 38-year-old White male, was fatally shot inside an apartment in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The incident took place late that Sunday evening at a residence located on Chouteau Avenue, which belonged to an acquaintance named Huston Martin IV.
