Ignatius DiManuele, a bartender at Pete DiManuele's Bar in St. Louis, Missouri, was tragically killed on the night of April 30, 1969. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when three young men entered the bar, initially posing as customers. They soon revealed their true intentions by drawing pistols and announcing a robbery.
