In the late afternoon of August 3, 2024, tragedy struck in the Greater Ville neighborhood of St. Louis, forever altering the lives of Dangelo Caldwell's loved ones. Responding to a call of a shooting at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Vandeventer and Maffitt avenues, police officers discovered the 26-year-old male unresponsive on the sidewalk, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
