On October 12, 2024, at approximately 2:18 p.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting in the 3600 block of Hamilton Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Lamare McGee of Hillsdale, Missouri, inside a white SUV, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced McGee dead at the scene.
