Ashland Tate, a 35-year-old father of two from Hazelwood, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed on the night of August 2, 2019, in Rock Hill, a suburb of St. Louis. Tate, who had relocated to St. Louis after fleeing New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, was found lying in a parking lot next to a car, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries around 4 a.m. the following morning.
