In the winter of 2019, tragedy struck a south St. Louis neighborhood when a man was found brutally murdered. Mark Oberkramer, a 48-year-old male, was discovered on January 23, 2019, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The grim discovery was made in the Carondelet neighborhood, prompting an immediate and intensive investigation by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
