On January 1, 2018, the quiet of New Year's Day in St. Louis, Missouri, was broken by the discovery of a violent scene involving a crashed vehicle. Police officers responded to a report of an accident, but upon arrival, the situation quickly evolved into a double homicide investigation. Inside the wrecked car, authorities found two unresponsive individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
