On the night of January 23, 2025, tragedy struck in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood when 35-year-old Tyrone Booker was fatally shot while driving in the 1200 block of South Sawyer Avenue. According to reports, Booker was traveling in his vehicle when an unidentified individual on foot opened fire, striking him in the head and torso.
