On the night of July 19, 2020, violence erupted at the Briarwood Apartment complex on East 126th Street in Grandview, Missouri, claiming the life of 20-year-old male Keyon Martis. Around 10:30 p.m., local law enforcement officers were dispatched to the residential area after receiving emergency calls reporting the sound of gunfire.
