In the vast and often unforgiving landscape of the Arizona Territory, a lawman's life could be cut short in the blink of an eye. Such was the fate of Constable William W. Lowther, a 45-year-old man who had dedicated nine years of his life to upholding the law in the rugged mining town of Bisbee.
