On the evening of August 8, 2020, police in Kansas City, Missouri, were dispatched to a residence in the 11200 block of East 47th Terrace following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers encountered a chaotic scene in the backyard of the home near 47th and Sterling. A man walking in the yard directed the responding officers to the bodies of two individuals who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
