In the early morning hours of a Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri, a discovery was made that would forever alter the lives of two families. On September 3, 2020, police were dispatched to the area of 25th Street and Jackson Avenue after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle. Inside, officers found the bodies of 18-year-old Emonnie Nunez and 29-year-old Raymond Trimble. Both had been shot to death in what authorities would quickly classify as a double homicide.
