In the Baden neighborhood of Saint-Louis, Missouri, the night of September 27, 2020, was shattered by gunfire that claimed the life of 16-year-old Victor Williams. Shortly after 10 p.m., near Gast Place and Riverview Boulevard, both Victor and another man, 27-year-old Andrew Ameer, were found outside with gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to a nearby hospital, but their injuries proved to be fatal. The double homicide sent ripples of grief through the community.
