On the evening of August 5, 2018, Brian Ware, a 51-year-old male, was discovered inside a vehicle in the 5400 block of Emerson Avenue within the Mark Twain neighborhood of St. Louis. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Ware succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The incident drew a response from the St. Louis police, who initiated an investigation into the shooting.
