On the evening of Thursday, November 12, 2020, a violent incident unfolded in Jennings, Missouri, claiming the life of 23-year-old Jeremy Henley. Henley, a male resident of Madison, Illinois, was visiting a home in the 2400 block of Akins Drive when the tranquility of the night was shattered by gunfire around 8:05 p.m. According to investigators from the St.
Louis County Police Department, approximately six adults, believed to be in their 20s, were inside the residence at the time of the attack.
The assailant, who remained outside the house, unleashed a barrage of bullets into the structure, striking Henley and another man. Emergency responders arrived to find Henley suffering from gunshot wounds inside the home. He was urgently transported to a local hospital, where medical personnel later pronounced him dead. The second male victim also arrived at a hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound, which police described as non-life-threatening.
In the chaos of the shooting, two women inside the home sustained minor injuries, though authorities determined these were not caused directly by gunfire.
