In the quiet city of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the evening of December 1, 2020, was shattered by violence that would claim the life of 23-year-old Kevin Sanders. A white male, Sanders was at his residence on Begley Street with another person when tragedy struck. Around 10:30 p.m., what began as a planned robbery escalated into a fatal encounter, leaving Sanders with mortal gunshot wounds.
Another individual in the home, Adriana Lundy, was also shot and seriously injured but survived the attack.
The investigation into the violent home invasion quickly pointed to two local men, Christopher 'Jantzen' Gilmore, age 22, and Stacy Andrew Gipson, age 25.
