In March of 2016, the life of 50-year-old Stahl Lee Sturgeon of Doniphan, Missouri, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Poplar Bluff. The man responsible, Joseph Wade Wisdom of Poplar Bluff, would later claim that 'bad dope' was to blame for his violent actions.

The unfortunate encounter began when Sturgeon offered a ride to Wisdom, who was on the side of Highway 160. At some point during the drive, Wisdom began to act erratically, prompting Sturgeon to draw a gun. A struggle ...
