On the evening of December 7, 2020, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were alerted to potential gunfire in the O'Fallon neighborhood of North St. Louis. The city’s 'ShotSpotter' detection system registered shots fired at approximately 8:11 p.m., directing law enforcement to the 4500 block of Alice Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered an unresponsive individual lying on the sidewalk who had sustained a gunshot wound.
