On the evening of December 7, 2020, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were alerted to potential gunfire in the O'Fallon neighborhood of North St. Louis. The city’s 'ShotSpotter' detection system registered shots fired at approximately 8:11 p.m., directing law enforcement to the 4500 block of Alice Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered an unresponsive individual lying on the sidewalk who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The victim was
identified as 30-year-old Terri Norman Gordon, a male resident of the area. Despite the arrival of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives immediately opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, canvassing the area for potential witnesses or evidence that could lead to the perpetrator.
At the time of the initial reports, authorities had not released information regarding potential suspects or a motive for the killing. The investigation remained active, with police urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the homicide division or submit anonymous tips through CrimeStoppers to assist in solving the case.
