Deontae Thomas, a 14-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on April 17, 2021, following a shooting incident. The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. inside Hometowne Studios, located at 4301 N. Corrington Ave. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Deontae suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
