In the spring of 2021, a promising young journalist's life was cut tragically short in Kansas City, Missouri. Aviva Ruth Okeson-Haberman, a 24-year-old White female, died on April 23, 2021, from a gunshot wound she sustained inside her first-floor apartment in the Santa Fe neighborhood.
