Montrez Hughes, an 18-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, tragically lost his life on May 7, 2021, during a violent incident at a block party in the 5500 block of Mable Avenue in Kinloch. The gathering, which attracted between 100 and 200 people, turned deadly when shots were fired, resulting in five men being transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Among the victims were Montrez Hughes and Eddie Wilkerson, 38, who both succumbed to their injuries.
