On the evening of August 9, 2013, a violent tragedy unfolded in North St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the lives of two individuals and injuring others. Police officers were summoned to a residence in the 4200 block of East Kossuth Avenue following reports of gunfire. Among the victims was 27-year-old Brian Jermon, a male resident of St.
Louis, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the neck. Also killed in the attack was 26-year-old Franchelle Devon Harris, who was found with a gunshot wound to her back. Authorities determined that at least eight shots were fired during the incident. In addition to the two deceased victims, two other individuals in the apartment were struck by gunfire but survived their injuries. Two more people present at the scene miraculously escaped the shooting without physical harm.
