In the Penrose neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, the morning of May 25, 2023, was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 22-year-old Erik Alford-Smith. Alford-Smith, a male, was fatally shot in the head around 11 a.m. in the 4800 block of Margaretta Avenue.
Following the shooting, authorities discovered Alford-Smith in a nearby alley on the 4800 block of Farlin Avenue. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
