On April 22, 2018, the life of a 23-year-old male named Kevin Knowles II was tragically cut short in a violent incident in Berkeley, Missouri, a suburb of Saint Louis. Known to friends and family by nicknames such as 'Lil Kevin' and 'K-Shoota,' Knowles was a young father and entrepreneur who had attended schools in the Parkway district. His death occurred on a Sunday morning, amidst a chaotic sequence of events that involved gunfire and a subsequent vehicle collision.
The incident
unfolded around 11:30 a.m. when the Berkeley Police Department received calls reporting a shooting in the 8300 block of Airport Road. Investigators later determined that occupants of two separate vehicles had been exchanging gunfire in the parking lot of a local business. Following the initial barrage of bullets, one of the vehicles fled the scene, traveling less than a mile before crashing into a parked car nearby.
When law enforcement officers and emergency personnel arrived at the crash site, they discovered Knowles inside the wrecked vehicle.
