In the early morning hours of January 12, 2022, the life of Martin Rybialek, a 42-year-old male, was tragically cut short in the basement of an apartment building in the 2700 block of Dalton Avenue in the Southwest Garden neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the residence just before 6:40 a.m. and discovered Rybialek, who had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
