This is my beloved brother. The detectives have been very negligent during this case. Haven’t received a call since the first week. Evidence left a the scene. His house was completely robbed after the murder (a week later). And the only way that could happen is if someone took his keys. It has to be someone he knows. I know him, he doesn’t let Stanford just in his home. He’s a kind person but very aware of his surroundings. I miss him so much, i just wished the detectives cared more. He di... ...View Post & Comment
This is so sad to hear and also unfortunately all so common in cities like Milwaukie with abysmally low homicide solve rates. Reading the synopsis it looks like there were some pretty massive mistakes made by detectives in the early days of this case. Not sure if you watch these guys YouTube channel but they highlight interesting unsolved cases like this, you might suggest this case to them for one of their videos.... ...View Post & Comment
I want to try and point you in the right direction. You can usually get the most traction through two channels: (1) Milwaukee Police “Open Records” and (2) Milwaukee County District Attorney Victim/Witness Services. The goal is to obtain the case/incident number, confirm who has responsibility for updates, and then use victims’ rights language to request communication.... ...View Post & Comment
Hello all, I am Ajhai’s mother and it warms my heart having support. It’s been difficult and still difficult but I take it one day at a time. I could say so much… There is a foundation being built in Ajhai’s name. ajhaiazurefoundation. Please fell free to donate or share. #NeverADay ... ...View Post & Comment
So sorry for what you and your family have been through. I am thankful that you have found some semblance of justice, even though he should have gone way for life. Is there a direct link to the foundation that you can share for donations or is that not yet public?... ...View Post & Comment
I was reading your daughters story. I am so glad he wasn\'t able to make a statement. He didn\'t deserve to say anything. Thank you for creating the foundation in her name. God bless and keep you. ... ...View Post & Comment
When I was younger my mom told me about this guy and we paid attention to the news about it. I always thought people that wanted to hurt you were bad and scary and you just knew it. This is the perosn she used as an example of that is not true. It is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Changed the way I lived after that. I guess I was a very friendly child and would talk to anyone. I think she did that to scare me because I would go anywhere with anyone that was kind to me. She did the right thing before... ...View Post & Comment
My beautiful lovely big brother I love and miss you so much. I will never stop fighting for you! I’m so sorry I wish I could have protected you. God himself has to carry me through the days. God himself will seek vengeance on your behalf. I have tried to call atlanta homicide and seek information I have physically went to the homicide office by myself I went to the apartments where you were murdered by myself and it hurt so bad. I will fight for you even if it’s by myself. You raised me and... ...View Post & Comment
Shannon, I’m so sorry. Your love for your brother is so clear, and I can’t imagine how heavy it’s been to keep pushing for answers on your own. If it helps at all, one thing that sometimes makes it easier to get clear information from Atlanta Police is having the case number in front of you when you call or visit, and if you don’t have it you can request the incident report through APD Open Records to at least confirm the basics and get whatever they’re allowed to release. When you rea... ...View Post & Comment
I’ve been thinking about Morgan Violi and how a story like hers can stay with a family and a community for a lifetime. In the summer of 1996, she was seven years old, outside playing in Bowling Green, Kentucky. On July 24th, she was abducted from the Colony Apartments parking lot. Witnesses saw a man force her into a maroon van and speed away. Two days later, that van was found abandoned south of Nashville, and months later, on October 20, 1996, Morgan’s remains were discovered in a wooded a... ...View Post & Comment
Were they just messing around with the gun? Is this how it happened? I just don\'t understand how we can allow youths access to guns without proper training and respect. How sad........ ...View Post & Comment

Has anyone thought to reach out to the family and cross reference familial DNA, with the DNA of unidentified Chicago Illinois Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy\'s Victim # 13?... ...View Post & Comment
Those are some great questions. I think it would be really cool when a baby is born their DNA goes into a national database. I know this may seem like a huge overstep for some but think of the possible cases that could be solved. The genetic tracing alone would be awesome. Nobody could really be \'lost\'. And just another deterrent for monsters not to act like monsters and try to get away with it.... ...View Post & Comment

To Christopher Rudy Escobar’s family—especially his mom, Kimberly—so many people in this community are holding you close. There are no words that can make sense of a loss like this, and there’s no “right” way to grieve something so sudden and violent. Christopher should be here. He should be finishing school, laughing with friends, making plans, and coming home safe. The fact that he was taken from you is heartbreaking, and it’s not something you should have to carry alone. Please ... ...View Post & Comment
I’ve been following the Bowden case for a while, and I find myself wondering about the relationship dynamics in their lives. The fact that there were no signs of forced entry in their Sedalia home keeps coming back to someone they knew, maybe even someone they trusted. It’s so unsettling to think that someone familiar could have had such darkness in their heart. This case really emphasizes how appearances can be deceiving and makes me ponder how well we know those around us. My heart goes ou... ...View Post & Comment
