On September 20, 2015, 36-year-old Adam Brixey vanished in Ogden, Utah. Earlier that day, he had been working alongside his father at an abandoned building located at 26th Street and Adams Avenue, which was slated for demolition. Later, Adam made plans to go back to the site with a friend after hours, intending to search for scrap metal and copper they could sell. He was last seen at this abandoned building, a place he was familiar with due to his work there.
According to his friend, they did return to the building that night to salvage for metals. However, the friend stated that at some point during their search, Adam walked out of the building by himself and was not seen again.
Concern grew when Adam did not return to the Motel 6 in Riverdale where he was living with his wife. After his wife was unable to reach him, she contacted the friend who had accompanied him to the abandoned building. The friend's account was that Adam had left the location on his own. Adam's wife, along with the friend, went to the building to search for him. While Adam was nowhere to be found, his wife discovered his hat, sunglasses, and cellphone inside an office on the first floor. Despite searches of the building and the surrounding area, no sign of Adam was ever located. The abandoned building where he was last seen has since been torn down, and a new structure stands in its place, erasing the last known location where Adam was present.
Adam Robert Brixey is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 6'1" to 6'2" and weighing around 190 pounds at the time of his disappearance. He has several distinguishing physical features, including a tribal tattoo on his left shoulder and a tattoo of a skull with scales on his right shoulder. Additionally, he has a disfigured left ring finger and wore a partial denture for his top front teeth. At the time he went missing, he was struggling with substance abuse. Since September 20, 2015, there has been no activity on his Social Security number, and he has not been heard from by family or friends. The circumstances of his disappearance remain a painful mystery, leaving his loved ones without answers.
