In the vast, blue expanse of the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii, a dedicated and highly skilled Navy SEAL, Petty Officer 1st Class Matthew John Leathers, tragically vanished. The 33-year-old California native was participating in a breath-hold training dive with his Naval Special Warfare unit in the waters off Kaena Point, Oahu, when he disappeared on February 19, 2013.
