Daylenn Pua, an 18-year-old from the Big Island of Hawaii, disappeared on February 26, 2015, after setting out to hike the Haiku Stairs, also known as the "Stairway to Heaven," on Oahu. While visiting his grandmother in Waianae, Daylenn expressed interest in hiking the famous trail despite being warned that it was closed to the public. On the day of his hike, he texted photos of the stairs to family members around 11:00 a.m., but was never seen or heard from again.
